FTG in Sports City, Qatar - July 2010
 Danny Stones, Managing Director of Full Time Group (FTG) was invited to visit Sports City, in Doha, Qatar as part of the continued development of the company’s international football, sport and business strategy.
Danny commented, ‘During the visit I was given a tour of the excellent facilities in Sports City and of other key venues in Doha. Strong contacts were developed and FTG will be further progressing plans to deliver our Specialist Sport Programmes and Business Performance Programmes to key events and businesses in Qatar.’
He added, ‘As well as for our own management and marketing programmes, I identified a number of opportunities for our clients and contacts in Qatar. These include sports coaching programmes, stadia construction, stewarding, training and consultancy. With the announcement of the venue for the football World Cup in 2022 coming up in December, these are exciting times to be visiting and developing relationships in Qatar. There was a calm confidence with key contacts I met that the decision will be favourable and I will not be at all surprised if Qatar wins the votes and the country will soon be looking forward to 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.’
Doha Sports City, also known as the Aspire Zone, is a 250 hectare sporting complex. Venues include the Khalifa International Stadium, Hamad Aquatic Centre and The Aspire Dome, the world's largest indoor stadium containing 13 different playing fields. The complex is an important feature in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar Football Association bid.
